September...already?

I have no clue where the summer went.

Or the last 8 months, for that matter.

I almost feel silly writing in here sometimes. I go - what? - a month between entries sometimes? *shrugs* I always say I'm going to write more often, but I don't.

So, let's see...

A couple of quick things.

1) I don't think I've written about this before, but it's kind of amusing. Sometimes when M gets out of the bath, and he's all wrapped up in his towel/bathrobe, he wants me to rock him. The first time he said, "Daddy, rock me like a baby." I said, "No! You're three-and-a-half years old, I'm not going to rock you like a baby."

He got a little upset by that so I said, "Fine - I won't rock you like a baby...but I *will* rock you like hurricane!" and I broke out into a horrible rendition of the Scorpions song.

So, of course, now he always asks me to rock him like a hurricane. Gotta love that kid...he WILL be a metal fan!

2) Very excited about my trip to Hershey, PA this weekend. Actually, I'm MORE excited about going to the Ren Faire than Chocolate World, but whatever. Of course, with my not working, I probably won't plop down big bucks for a sword or outfit this year...but I might. I mean, come on - what's a few hundred dollars when it can buy me a little happiness (which I so desperately need and deserve right now!).

3) Speaking of not working...I'm going back to school for my Masters Degree. In fact, classes started yesterday. So far, so good, although it's going to be a lot of work. But, at least it will be a fairly productive way to occupy my time until the new Legislative session starts (and hopefully a job comes up). I was thinking about getting a part-time job while going to school, but I'm starting to think I might not have time for that. With all the work I'm going to have to do, I'm not sure working is the best thing for me right now. We don't NEED the money (although it would be nice), so I think I'll just concentrate on school and do as well as I can.

I also want to give a shout-out to the wonderful "Thundercum" *giggle - I just LOVE that name!* who told me about the new Opeth album. I WILL own it before this weekend...although I doubt I'll be allowed to listen to it on the drive out to Hershey. :-(

And that about covers it!
