Just a quick entry here...
M developed a sore throat and a cough over the last day or so. Apparently, one of his teachers at school told him he has a "frog" in his throat. So, last night he told me - in a very serious tone - "Ms. Terri told me I have a frog in my mouth. I don't know how it got in there."
I explained to him that it wasn't so much in his mouth as in his throat. He nodded his head solemnly and said, "Yes, I have a frog in my throat."
I then jokingly asked him if the frog had a name. He shook his head and said, "Frogs don't have names. They just go 'ribbit.'"
We then had a discussion of how the frog got in his throat. I told him I thought it hopped in while he was sleeping. He laughed. Which was good, since in retrospect, telling your kid that frogs can crawl into your mouth and down your throat while you're asleep is probably NOT a good idea.
Hopefully Kermit - or whatever its name is - will leave soon.
I just hope it doesn't hop into MY throat next.
