Well, this summer has certainly been busy; to make it into a list, as I so often enjoy:
- VBS, Calvary, as helper in Arts and Crafts for pre-primaries
- VBS, Camby, as helper in Games and 3rd & 4th grades
- Golf
- Panama
- Recovery from Panama; in the midst of which was an overnight college visit
- Florida
- Leaving my sister at Taylor yesterday
That's about it. For trivia, on our family vacation to Florida ("I'm going to Disney World!") we stopped to see Christy in South Carolina; it was so good to see her. Since it a last minute thing, she was already scheduled to babysit; her called her employer to ask if it would be alright if my sister and I came too. So, I helped babysit two kids on my vacation; the little girl was quite a mischief maker, but she won my heart.
I finally bought the Legends of the Guardian King series, and have been rereading them. They may reawaken and emphasize parts of my spiritual life, but they destroy sleep cycles. Last night I stopped to shower at midnight, then continued reading til 3:30. Which is not a good thing when I want to wake up before church, but I survived.
At four today, the remainder of my family went to a pitch-in/Sunday evening Impact service in the park honor of our Camby pastor having served at Camby for a very long time. It was fun talking to everyone there; they're a little crazy, but aren't we all?
Can't really think of an unlame way to end this; I'm just plain tired, and have to get over it before my school starts on Thursday.
Love,
Alli
