[Background]Tamaki was born in France while his father was on a business trip, and he wasn’t exactly, ehm expected so to speak. His father loved his mother dearly, but she was of lower caliber though still an aristocrat and they weren’t exactly approved for marriage. In fact, Tamaki’s grandmother (father’s side) was very displeased and was not willing to accept Tamaki into the Suoh family. However, after much persistence, his grandmother made a deal with him: leave his mother, who at the time was very ill, and live with his father in Japan and she would be sure his mother would be looked after.
This was a very hard choice for Tamaki as he loved his mother very dearly and still wishes to one day see her, even though he knows it would break the deal (which is the only reason why he doesn’t). However, because he loves his mother so much and wants her to get well, he leaves France at the age of fourteen and transfers to Japan and attends Ouran Academy, the school his father is actually the superintendent of. Until this lovely lady, Éclair appeared and told him that if he came back to France with her, he would be able to see her mother who happened to become a maid of hers (I think.). This involved marrying Éclair and leaving the Host Club. FOREVER.
Well, even though Tamaki loved his little family, he really did love his mother dearly and after a long consideration (and Éclair’s meddling stupid bitch should die >_>) he decided to accept Éclair’s offer. Who could really blame him, considering the circumstances and that by that point he was starting to wonder if he was maybe becoming a burden to the others.
But the others did not feel the same way. Just as Tamaki held them all dearly in his wonderful, gracious, sparklicious heart, they each held Tamaki in…well maybe not so grand of a manner, but he was close to them. Especially Haruhi. [Abilities] Make girls swoon by just looking at them. He’s such a charmer~ But he also has this ability to make people see deeper into themselves (and he’s most likely doing this unconsciously, there’s no way in hell he’s actually thinking about it >_>) and thus bring out a “better” part of themselves. Because of his confident attitude, he actually gives people the same sort of confidence.

[Background]Sabel was originally part of the Faerie Tribe, and was probably one of the higher ranked faeries/elves/whatever-you-want-to-call-them. He was also supposed to be the original Water Dragon Knight, but no thanks to the Demon Lord Nadil, he was captured while investigating voices he was hearing in the Water Realm and not only did Nadil removed his Power of Virtue, the very essence of a faerie, Nadil also supplanted his own powers into Sabel and removed Sabel’s memories. It was at around this time that Galaba and Varawoo were created, but the Water Dragon who was still sealed in the Water Realm managed to seal Varawoo with him. Galaba, and the later a small butterfly thing named Meteaura, were both used to help contain Sabel’s power. [Note: all of this is revealed in volume 23

After meeting Nadil after his first little mishap of FAERIE LIGHT OF DOOM, he is sent off to collect more corpses with the help of the Black Thunder Demon, which he reeeally doesn’t like because it makes a mess out of perfectly good corpses. We can’t have soldiers with missing limbs, now can we? It takes the “WTF BUT YOU WERE DEAD” factor out and makes them more…zombieish >\
He encounters other people, like Kitchel and Tintlet, though Tintlet recognizes him and chases after him, much to his utter dismay. He also later fights Tetheus, and then fights him again after literally crashing into the Sanctuary. It is there that Tintlet finally manages to catch up to him and tell him the truth, which triggers his memories to finally fully come back, sending him into a bit of a daze and severely weak because of the curse (way to go Tintlet -o-). [Personality] Even though he used to be a faerie and was probably a lot more calm and cool-headed, Sabel still acts like his old demon self: loud, obnoxious, cheerful, spazztic, a prankster, and hates anything boring. He will either make things less boring or just go away.
He also hates to lose. He will never admit defeat. He will instead declare the person boring and run away leave >_> He has a bit of an ego, though he’s somewhat confused on how to feel at the moment. I mean, he just learned that he was actually taken in to be used as a tool and he’s been fighting the people he was supposed to help protect.
BUT~! That doesn’t stop him from having his fun, spazztic personality. He can get annoyed easily, and a bit of a loudmouth. He may have been a faerie before, but he’s lived the life of a demon for so long, it’s kind of stuck on him. So while he may not like demons as much anymore, he would pretty much prefer his “current” lifestyle over those boring faeries >O>

This part of her nature can get the better of her, as she sometimes tries to tackle things she can't really deal with all by herself. This includes going after large men because they are threatening helpless girls, without realizing that she's a fairly helpless girl, herself.
Haruhi is also very honest. She says what she thinks. But her comments are often...misinterpreted. She's capable of saying both the perfect thing to make the host club's customers fall in love with her, and the absolute wrong thing to push Tamaki into despair or the twins into a fight. Rikkai is known for having The Best Tennis Team Ever, steadily defeating every single opponent for years straight-- until they run into Seigaku, that is. Marui and Jackal play doubles against Momo and Kaidoh, and while they manage to win their match, it's not an easy defeat; it takes a lot of effort on both of their parts to defeat Seigaku. And Rikkai ends up losing anyway. Bad Echizen, bad.Marui usually plays doubles for Rikkai, and usually with Jackal. He's known [and fanboyed over, in some cases] for his prodigy-like tennis skills; he's a very good volley specialist, and can pull off a few outrageous tricks

[Personality] Kyouya's personality at first (to those that see him when he doesn't want something from them, anyway) seems to be built upon deception and control. Anyone who does not get to know him would retain this impression.
Kyouya is brilliant and rich, and doesn't feel particularly ashamed of this.
Although there are a few things Kyouya values more than money (Tamaki's friendship and the Host Club staying together), you have to dig deep to figure this out, as he masks any non-self-serving aspect of any action with a cool demeanor and a ready angle. When he has nothing to do, he tends to be fairly apathetic.
When he does want something from someone, he immediately affects the personality most likely to secure cooperation, although he rarely outright lies. He has no problem with actions bordering on extortion and not-so-subtle suggestions to, say, Tamaki, though.
Despite this he has been seen helping out strangers on more than one occasion. Go figure, huh?
