This past weekend I went to play. It good, well produced with talented actors, but the best part is...it was funny. Incidentally the play in question is "Measure for Measue." Now I know it a comedy, but I'd never seen it, only read it a while ago with a teacher who saw the play primarily as a study of Angelo's slow decent into hell. You really miss the sex jokes when you're reading it that way. And that's why we need better arts education in this country, so people understand why on earth the Elizabethan's (and ourselves) like Shakespeare as entertainment and not just academic excercise.
Remixes have been revealed and I need to offer a huge thanks to
bluflamingo who remixed my "Bad Moon Rising." Her "Irregular (The Dawn to Dusk) Remix" takes a line from the story and tells about Inara. It gives a great look into Inara as a woman. Read it here:
http://community.livejournal.com/remix_redux/20937.html I've had such a great time reading the remixes. Its helped feed my Harry Potter interest in time for the new book, which is good because it had waned a little in favor of Firefly and West Wing. Its so nice to go back and have a whole new set of fics you never read before to dive into. As per usual, Remus is always my favorite.
Does anyone have any good recs?
