First, tea at the Biltmore! I finished my out fit and was pretty happy with it, although I discovered there's a fine line between "Gibson Girl" and "School Marm". :-)

Mostly finished. Still needs hooks and eyes on plackets and, ideally, the hook and eye on the waist band needs to be relocated about half an inch in. But it's done enough.

It was not without sacrifice as I missed my costuming group's holiday party to finish it. Tomorrow I just need to pick some brown ribbon for the hat.

I'm currently at the craft day. My alarm went off at 8am but I didn't crawl of bed til 9. I cut all the interfacing and ironed it to the hems and waistband, then I showered and packed up everything for the craft day. I really need a smaller ironing board for things like this.

Date night was Benjamin Button. A very long movie that could have been improved greatly by the presence of dinosaurs. Or robots. Or both.

Heading to bed with goals unaccomplished. I did get the entire pattern transferred and re-drafted to account for Amazon height, but I did not iron fabric, nor did I cut anything. I guess I know what i'm doing tomorrow night after date night.

So, yesterday I decided I needed a new skirt for a tea I'm attending on Sunday. Because, well, I can't do anything with a reasonable timeline! This whole plan is complicated by several social occasions on Friday and Saturday. I must be crazy.

So I played in a little LARP Saturday night. It was the final chapter of a three parter that started about two years ago. I missed the first game, but enjoyed the middle and ( the end. )

In addition to the Murakami exhibit, I also got up early that morning and drove to a "Costumer's Guild Yard Sale". This was the professional guild, local 705, Motion Picture Costumers and this was their "Giant Yard Sale". It was billed as a fund-raiser to help their strike fund ( Read more... )
