And I think the version of Proud Mary that Tina Turner and Beyonce just performed was magic.

Every now and again, the Grammys just come up with a performance that just stops your breath. I think I've just seen this year's.

(And can you believe that Tina has legs that are arguably better than Beyonce's? The woman's gotta be hitting 70!)

Last night, mycrazyhair & I went to see zoarazul in the spring QuodLibet concert, and enjoyed some absolutely wonderful music.

It was all sacred music this time round, and all of it was good. The highlight for me had to be a version of Ave Maria by Franz Biebl that was absolutely breathtaking, although the Alleluia by Jean Berger was also wonderful ( Read more... )

You know what's the sign of a good dance tune? When you're stuck in traffic, listening to tunes, and something comes on the stereo that has you shimmying so hard in your seat that you manage to work up a sweat without even taking your foot off the clutch.
