I found a roommate and I never got the ceiling painted, the carpet cleaned or anything else fixed. While it won't put me in a great financial situation, it does mean I can mostly keep up. He is only going to be here for 3 to 6 months, but that's 3 to 6 months I can keep my house ( Read more... )

No one seems particularly happy that I am here. Maybe it's because they are tired or something.

I have decided to show up on my parents "doorstep," actually my
brother's, and surprise them for Christmas. I would hate to confuse my
nephew by showing up in a Santa costume, so I have decided to find an
elf hat and a big red bag to carry the gifts...aren't I goofy!

Anyone out there seen a decent elf hat for sale anywhere?
