Sam kept checking her watch as she paced by the swoop bike. She couldn't help it--after the disaster that was yesterday, she wasn't completely positive whether she'd be making the trip back to Boulder alone or not. She hadn't been surprised when he hadn't returned to the room but hoped he hadn't done anything stupid the night before after he'd left.
Or more stupid, she thought.
Then she told herself not to be ridiculous. Cameron would go back to get his dog, even if he didn't do anything else.
Except for how he might have found another way back.
