Heaven or Hell? Let's Rock!

Eda reads out loud from the bible, it's early in the morning and the smell of coffee and cigarettes hang in the kitchen air, cloying. But she in is in her habit, still playing the damned nun act for what it's worth.

Personally, she could do without reading this long and pretentious book, but it's become sort of a ritual for Eda. Wake up, put the glasses on, a shot of booze, get showered and dressed, quote the bible with Yolanda, Rico and the others, eat breakfast. It's the same routine she had back in Roanapur and she followed a similar one back in the states. Even when she had a bitch of a hangover or if someone was in bed with her, she still does it. She probably couldn't tell someone why if they asked. Maybe it's a method of preparation, to ready oneself for the chaos the day brings. (And there is a lot of it.)

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

"You have got to be bullshitting me." Eda says to herself after.

Well, she could still do without the Bible.

Have a early-mornin' nun with a gun and a attitude to go along with it! If anyone caught the Guilty Gear reference, I love you. Old and new friends/enemies/bed-buddies are free to eat breakfast and possibly have their ideas about Nuns drastically changed.
