[introduction] the lady called white hands

She doesn't regret it.

She's a widow before she was ever made a dame, but she doesn't regret it. What difference would it have made had he lived, in the end? Would not Tristan have failed as her husband still? He was never going to love her as she did him, and it would only have been worse if Isolde had come to him again. She did the right thing, because Tristan was hers. Her husband.

So she mourns him, like the others. He is the only man she has ever loved, after all, no matter what he did or she did to him. But she doesn't regret it, because it's better that he's gone than for his lover -- for her to have him again.

But she's lonely now. Tristan at least kept her company when he was home, but now she has not him, nor her father, nor Kaherdin -- the brother she was closest too. She wanders, takes long walks, long rides by the sea. The fierce beauty of Brittany can distract her from her sorrow for a time, perhaps.

As she walks this time, however, it does not look as it did. She is one moment looking at the grass of her homeland as she walks, lost in thought, but it changes beneath her feet. And when she looks up, she finds herself at the bottom of a hill, looking up at a great, strange house.

She has lost her way somewhere. But where could this be? There is no such house in Brittany -- it does not look as any building she has seen or heard described. There could not be so large a house near her family's keep. She would have known of it.

At least she has no-one at home to worry over, she thinks, as she tugs up her skirts and starts up towards the house. No-one to worry over anymore.

Name: Isolde of Brittany/Isolde of the White Hands
Fandom: Arthurian Legend
Media: Book/mythology
Typist: pincerna :D HI
Other relevant info: Isolde is ~young and beautiful~ as well as quite finely dressed. She's is (obviously) taken from after Tristan and other Isolde die. She won't have met any other Arthurians save for Tristan, but she's probably heard of a lot of them. Enjoy!
