Riku has fond memories of Setsuban or the Lunar New Year, and given the number of Chinese immigrants in their neighborhood, his dad had offered a double celebration at Omoro. And so, as part of continuing to give back to the Mansion and the people in it, he's spent the past day cooking up a buffet of Asian delicacies, including Chinese dumplings and maki rolls, hot tea and warm ginger sake, which he's set out in the main room, still decked in the paper cranes and now with addition of paper lanterns. There's a big basket with red envelopes containing candy and chocolate coins on one table, and he can be found dancing about banging on a pot with a wooden spoon and chanting: "Bad spirits out, good luck in!" the way he and Dad and Kai and later Saya used to do the morning of the first day of the festivities.
People roaming about might also glimpse a tall figure in a
lion dancer costume prancing about somewhat awkwardly and bumping into things...
So! Feel free to mingle and enjoy the bounty for the Year of the Rabbit! And maaaybe you'll find out the identity of the mysterious lion dancer.
