[introduction]: was it all too much; or just not enough?

"I'll be waiting where it all began."

He cannot tell, at the moment, whether he is facing Lia or D'Eon, and is not quite certain that he cares. He steps over Broglie and out the door, trusting that one or both of them will know to follow.

In the place where the Psalms were born, he stands a few moments, looking out into the night and thinking. Robin, he trusts, will carry things on aright. The boy is promising enough, and the Psalms seem to have chosen him.

Durand is dead. Lia is dead. Perhaps it is not so ill-fitting-

Footsteps behind him, and he turns. D'Eon - or Lia - is standing there. He isn't certain where he finds the strength to cross that distance, but he knows when his bloody palm touches hers - his - it doesn't matter.

"Come with me," he says, and, "Lia," and then even his will can hold on no more.

Curled on his side on the carpet in the main room, a man wearing rather fine clothing, and certainly handsome, begins to stir. His arm and body are still covered in blood, but curiously enough, he seems to be sleeping, not unconscious, eyes flicking restlessly under his eyelids.

Maximilien's part is done. Shh. He's resting.

Name: Maximilien Robespierre
Fandom: Le Chevalier D'Eon
Media: Anime
Other relevant info: Taken from the very last episode, and is, once again, not the Robespierre you know. Feel free to come and ask him why he's sleeping on the floor. It's not really normal behavior. :D Have fun with him!
