I could not breathe out of my nose when I woke up this morning. My throat was also sore. Naturally, I did not go to school.

Of course, my mother insisted that I go to the doctor. At Burlington Pediatrics, I saw the one and only Becca Ellington! We were both getting strep tests.

I, of course, knew that I did not have strep throat. My throat was feeling much better than it had for the past few days. Despite my protests, my mother insisted that I endure a doctor gagging me with an over-sized Q-Tip.

The results were negative, of course. (As were Becca's)

The doctor then had to look at this bump I have on my wrist, which turned out to be called a ganglion cyst. This is what it supposedly looks like:

Yeah, it does not make much sense to me either. It is basically just a bump under the skin that is filled with joint fluid. Anyway, he said that I should go to an orthopedist, who will probably have to remove it by cutting it out. Well, that is just jolly, seeing as I am terrified of all medical procedures that involve needles, scalpels, or any sharp objects.

I am feeling much better now, except that I am insanely scared about having a doctor attack my wrist with a sharp knife in the near future.
