In case I neglected to mention it, I moved. No more Orange County. I am now in LA in the mid-city area. Above West Adams, East of Fairfax, West of Koreatown. w00t, as they say.
I now haz hi-speed intarwebz. For a few days, there was no intarwebz at all. We have a router now, and 12 more days to return it to Staples if anyone wants to give us one for free. I'm hoping, but not holding my breath.
I am somewhat amazed by how cat hair manages to stick to everything. They should use it to patch structural cracks on the international space station.
Moving trucks are 'spensive. I'm still hoping to take advantage of family and friends' vehicles. If it's not all (or at least mostly) over here the week before school starts, then I'm gonna have to just get a U-Haul or something. I need to get my dresser in here before school starts. I'm trying to get my mattress moved tomorrow.
I have actually been able to cram most of my stuff into the given closet space in this old building. Either I've been paring down more than I thought, or there is some really incredible closet space in here. (I'd wager a bit of both.)
I still can't find a duvet cover in a color that matches. Boo.
