Drabble:

This was all a game.

That was what she kept telling herself, at least. She felt like a pawn, a piece for her mother to move around the board. And Conner wasn’t helping, letting her out of jail like he did.

She was tired of all of this - she had spent enough time being someone else’s toy. She would not be Conner’s toy or her mother’s. She was still Hayes Morrison and she was still going to play by her own rules.

If there is one thing Hayes is good at, it is sticking it to authority. If they want her to play, she will damn well make them wish they had never let her into the ring.
