I have just ordered a swatch set from a company that sells things like silk/wool and lin/cot for less then $15/yard (half that in some cases).

With a shocking number of my friends planning weddings lately I've found that gown sites are a pretty common stop on my internet perambulations.

Received and started pre-treating my black silk noil (26 yds all told), ordered some henna for my hair, and started digging around to see if there was anything specific I wanted to bang out before Pennsic or if I could find any deals good enough to just pick something up. Finally got the fabric I need to make the silk noil middle class Elizabethans I've been wanting to do for a while. 2 more yards of blackberry silk (on top of the 5 I already had) and 2 yards of very pale daffodil yellow for accents. There is much garb, much much garb, including a cloak for draxius that I'd bogart if it fit in the shoulders 'cus I like the lining and don’t have enough to do another one. Hmm, lessee, what got done yesterday. Actually made those purple satin harems for draxius and I, his are normal mine are split legged. Would like to make some split side middle eastern looking salwar kameez type tunics to go with em, time permitting. Well, tent one has been completed (as of approximately 10 pm Friday night actually if I remember correctly) and I am well into the construction of tent 2. Finished one set of doors today, hope to finish the others tomorrow and potentially start in on the body.
