today was a crazy beautiful day. went to downtown crossing this morning with my sister and we just walked around and went into a few shops. bought hil something at this amazing jewelry store which everyone has to go to. you just walk in and it's BEAUTIFUL beyond words. and it's not the typical silver and gold jewelry. oh no! it's so much more. i didn't get to look around the store in its entirety because my sister had to go. got to harvard square at around 2:30. deb couldn't make it. but after being in hidden sweets and papyrus and having wasted some time, i walk into the garage where you are bound to see people from school. and i did. i saw someone who used to go to out school but left. and then i went into newbury comics and heard someone behind me say "mel". and i turned around and it was brian. yeah. hadn't seen him in a while. so it was a surprise although he said i appeared unphased when i saw him. i was though. shocked. blown away - but i don't think my expressions gave that away. then after buying two things, we went downstairs and saw hil and clayton. more surprises. we all had a pretty long conversation. turns out not many people haven't started summer reading. deb called and told us she was heading over the ben's house with bec. a few times, hil almost ruined her surprises, but we covered them up pretty well.and that ended and brian and i left hil and clayton and continued shopping. well, after we sort of ran away - unsuccessfully. walked with brian to the T-station and then it started to rain. then it was my turn to go home and so i did. well. i got to the T like my sister told me to. but my mom was late because the cable guy who was setting up the cable at our house i supose was inexperienced and didn't know what he was doing. not to mention, he spent over 2 and a half hours. so my sister and i sat at the station around a man who repeatedly asked everyone close to him if they had a cigarette lighter, forgetting who he had already asked. so that got annoying so my sister and i left the station and went to the mall and tried on clothes to pass the time by until the cable guy left and my mom was free to come rescue us. the rain made me wet. i mean, really wet. a truck splashed me with water and because of my shoes, i couldn't run. i felt like donald duck. water and all. and at the end of trying on clothes, i realized electric yellow actually doesn't look bad on me. although ruffles do.
