it's almost the end of july, not signifying anything of real importance to me, except the fact that my summer is coming to an end - somewhat abruptly, so i am preparing for it the best way i can - being busy and trying to do things i want to do. my birthday came and went. i got a puppy who, although his full name is DUKE HUNTER BROWN, we've gone on to simply call him Brownie.
going to michigan, followed by a trip to d.c., and then on to upstate NY. then back home, in time to help my sister go back to college, do some more shopping. i've left summer reading until now. and i have a month to read all 5 books. that should be some party. tomorrow i get to see this girl i met last week from Slovakia. maybe i'll plan on doing something with people sometime soon - or when i come back from what one might want to call a real summer vacation - of sorts.
people are off and still working, others ignoring the rest. and then - well what's left to do, i think i'll go tend to.
