Title: I goes to You, as Love goes with Pain [Part 1]
Rating: PG
Pairing: Doojoon/Yoseob, Kikwang/Dongwoon
Word Count: 1,146
Summary: Love is ouch and always comes with pain. Perhaps Yoseob learned a bit too late, but he thought that they would never change.
A/N: My first time writing a chaptered fic, so hopefully this goes well, lol. It's going to be quite short, maybe around 5-6 chapters? Inspired by 2NE1's Love is Ouch.
Yoseob is just a normal teenager, living life to its fullest and enjoying every moment of it. He would like to believe that he’s special, but perhaps he’s not. Perhaps he’s just a regular bubbly guy who would brighten someone else’s day even if he can’t brighten his own. Perhaps he’s just a regular hopeless guy, waiting to fall in love with the person of his dreams.
Sitting next to him, fast asleep was his best friend, Lee Kikwang. He’s a well built kid with a goofy smile, and Yoseob understands why everyone around campus seems to love the boy. What he doesn’t understand though, is how Kikwang can manage to fall asleep in every single class.
“...and class, that’s it for today, remember to finish the research paper due next week and see you all here on time tomorrow.”
“Kwangie...” Yoseob muttered while nudging his friend. “Class is over”
“Aish! I fell asleep again. Oh well, it’s time for lunch right? Let’s go meet Dongwoon!”
In all the years that Yoseob has known Kikwang, he’s never seen the other happier than when he’s with Dongwoon. Son Dongwoon, a freshman at the school who’s known for his good looks, and also known as Kikwang’s boyfriend. They really are perfect together in every way, and Yoseob always wishes that he’ll find a guy that would love him like Dongwoon loves Kikwang.
“Kwangie, Yoseob hyung. I made a new friend today and he showed me around campus. I invited him for lunch with us, is that okay?”
“Of course, that way Yoseob doesn’t have to feel like the third wheel all the time!”
And it’s times like these that Yoseob wonders why he’s even friends with Kikwang in the first place. He know the kid didn’t mean it though and so he can’t really hold anything against him.
“Dongwoon!”
The three all turned towards the sound of the voice. Yoseob was known for having a nice voice, but to his ears, the unknown voice was like heaven.
“Hyung.” But it wasn’t only the voice that was like heaven to Yoseob, the mysterious new hyung that Dongwoon befriended today has the best looking face he swears he ever seen on a guy. Did he really die and go to heaven?
“Doojoon-hyung, these are the ones I was telling you about earlier. Yoseob-hyung and my boyfriend Kikwang.”
And even if Yoseob never believed in it before, he fell in love at first sight, and perhaps, all this time, he was just waiting for Prince Doojoon to come and sweep him off his feet.

“I think Doojoon likes you, Seobbie. He’s so nice and caring and protective of you!”
“Doojoon-hyung is just a good hyung, that’s all”
“Aigoo, don’t you see the way he looks at you? You guys are so close, everyone else practically thinks you’re together now anyways”
It’s true, Yoseob can’t deny it. Ever since Dongwoon introduced Doojoon to them last month, they became really close really fast. There’s a sense of security and warmth that Yoseob feels when he’s around Doojoon that he doesn’t get around anyone else. Often, when they are walking around campus together, he would hear whispers of how good they look together, and how jealous they are because they’ve found each other. He doesn’t know if Doojoon hears them too, but he prays to god he doesn’t because it was already embarrassing enough for Yoseob to handle.
“Yah Yoseob, were you listening to me? I know I’m not very bright, but I’m still your best friend!”
“Mianhae, what did you say?”
“Me and Dongwoon are going to the amusement park this weekend, and I already agreed for you to come or else Doojoon wouldn’t come too. So you have to come, okay?”
And when Kikwang makes that pouting face that Yoseob as a best friend can’t deny, he feels sorry for Dongwoon for having to put up with it all the time. But then again, he’s sure Dongwoon doesn’t mind one bit.

“Dongwoonie~ everything looks so fun! Can we go on them all? I wanna go on this one first!” Yoseob watched as Kikwang dragged Dongwoon off to the ferris wheel, leaving him and Doojoon behind. He swears that Kikwang is still a little boy at heart.
“I guess that leaves you and me.” And that’s when it really hit Yoseob, smack dab hard on his face. He was alone with Doojoon. In an amusement park. Wasn’t this where couples would usually go out? Does that mean... Do people think that they’re... Yoseob mentally slaps himself for even having such thoughts.
As they walk around the amusement park together, fooling around like always, Yoseob can’t help but stare at all the couples walking around hand and hand as a small blush creeps on his cheeks when his previous thoughts came back.
“Hey, are you okay? You look a bit flush. Let’s go get you something to drink.”
They stop by the nearest coffee shop and Yoseob relaxes immediately to the familiar smell of coffee. Whoever invented coffee has got to be the most amazing person out there, well, besides from Doojoon of course.
“1 milk and 2 sugars? It’s that really sweet?”
“I always drink my coffee like that. I think coffee really reflects life, using sugar to sweeten the bitterness of life. I wish my life would always be this sweet, just like this coffee.”
“Then I hope to always be the sugar in your life to make sure your life is sweet and not bitter.”
Yoseob’s eyes widen in shock as he stares at Doojoon, unsure of what he should say or do next. Was that... a confession?
“I liked you ever since I first saw you, Seobbie... and I promise to only make you happy.”
He thought his eyes couldn’t widen anymore, but apparently, he quite good at proving himself wrong. He’s been dreaming of this day since forever, but now that it’s finally here, he’s quite unsure of how he should act.
“I... liked you since then too...”
The smile that tugged across Doojoon’s face is one that is brighter than any of the ones in Yoseob’s dream and even if he can’t brighten his own day, he knows he has found someone that can.
“Since we’re here, come on, let’s go on some rides!”
And in the midst of screaming for his dear life, and clinging on like there’s no tomorrow, Yoseob knows that his adenine rush isn’t just from the roller coasters, but also from the presence of the guy next to him.
He looks down at their entwined hands and he’s quite sure that Doojoon’s the one he wants to be with always. Because no matter if it’s just something silly like a roller coaster, Yoseob knows he’d always be there to hold his hand and protect him.
... And hopefully, that’ll never change.
