Looks like the official LiveJournal app has finally been updated to suck much less, though it's still not getting as much love as the iOS version.

It's still a little buggy in a few spots, and it crashes every time I try to stay out on my tablet, but it works fairly well now on my phone.

I don't think we're in immediate danger, but the storm "capable of producing a tornado" is very nearby.

EDIT:  OK, there's  a storm spotter report of a tornado on the ground, about 4 or 5 miles away.

There is a moderate risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon. The SPC is predicting a 10% chance of tornadoes, possibly severe, and a 45% chance of large hail.

Power went out. Tornado warnings a couple counties to the southwest. Severe thunderstorm warning next county over. Looooooong line of storms stretching beyond the Kansas border.

Went to Hardees today and got their new Grilled Cheese Bacon Thickburger. Usually, the picture of the burger is better than the actual product, but in this case, reality won over marketting. The local HyVee has Baconnaise, Baconnaise Lite and Original, Hickory and Peppered BaconSalt!

Wow, it was hailing here a few minutes ago. Pretty good sized hail, too, about 3/4 inch. It was crazy loud, like dozens of people banging on the roof with hammers. I took some pics; will post them later when my computer is on again. Won't know until morning if there's any damage, but usually you don't see damage until you reach about 1.5-2 ( Read more... )

I picked up a copy of the new Lego Indiana Jones game for the DS. The Lego version of Star Wars was great, so I had high hopes for this one. My hopes were quickly dashed when the game froze twice in less than 3 hours of playing, both times forcing me to replay an entire chapter.
