Snow day!

It snowed last night, but not a lot. Probably less than a centimeter, and then it rained on top of the snow and washed most of it away. But I saw snow on the ground!

I am trying to find people to go away with me this weekend, because don't want to spend all of my downtime in Leipzig. Last night, I got an e-mail from somebody named Hyuna saying that he/she was a student from Korea and that he/she just got here, so I e-mailed him/her. At this point (and for a while after), I didn't know whether or not she was a guy or a girl. I did a Google image search for Hyuna, and I got more pictures of girls than boys, so I assumed that she was a girl from then on (she is).

Anyways, we made plans to meet today for lunch and to talk about a trip to Dresden. Her English is okay, and it's good to talk to somebody that speaks my language. Except I have to remember that foreigners think that we speak way too fast, and I have to slow my speech down. I don't realize how fast I talk until somebody has to ask me to repeat what I said after every sentence.

We went to lunch, and I found out that she doesn't eat beef or pork. We didn't know what anything on the menu was, but she ended up with pasta and garlic and I had a proscuitto pizza (that was an easy one to find on the menu). Luckily, our waitress spoke English too. So we're going to Dresden on Saturday at 8am and planning to come back at 8pm. We finished lunch and walked to the train station because there was a shop in there where she needed to ask a question about her cell phone. She had an appointment to set up a bank account at 4, so we came back here and I went back out to the store to get some Snickers bars. Then I came back here and ended the day.

There we go, a short and sweet entry. And I have a Korean friend.
