Just like you have to pay for grocery bags in Europe, you sometimes have to pay to use bathrooms. It kills me that this part of Germany was formerly communist and that most of Europe has socialist tendencies, but they make you pay for the bathroom. They'll pay for your medical bills and send homeless people to college, but you have to pay if you're in public and have to take a leak.

So, along with learning where the sights are in the city, I am also learning where there are free public bathrooms.
