Full weekend devoted to papering, painting and finishing, and I'm meticulous about detail and doing things right, but my living room now looks superb. (pics were taken and just need downloading from my cam)

Excited about finally getting my living space back!

Planning out a pattern for ceiling lights was tricky, first I measured and marked circles and then tried as hard as I could to imagine being warm, fire burning and that these drawings were giving off a gentle glow, it didn't work.

Sawed a hole in the ceiling and found the ring main, however the bundle was 6 cables... hmmm methinks 2 will head up to do a ring for upstairs, but I'm confused as to why that leaves 4 ( Read more... )

The current ceiling, it's artex finish I am about to "fix" and that single light, will become 8 downlights on a pair of remote controlled dimmers.
