I got through District 9 last night.  It wasn't the gore, and the camera movements weren't a problem at all, I don't know, it didn't bother me?  Or I didn't notice.  I loved the documentary style LOL, that was a lot of fun, and how they tied the whole story together starting from the end.  I'm in favor of non-linear story techniques ( Read more... )

We made it home safely.  I'll make a big post later, but I'm kinda tired.  Picked up the doglet and she slept pushed up against me pretty much the whole way home.

We're at Disneyland.  Took 9 hours to get here.  Dropped dog off at my aunt's house, my mom's sister, hopefully she'll be ok.  We went on only a couple of rides and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  It was good.

In other news, I feel like crap.  First real vacation I've had in awhile and my stomach really starts to act up.

We went fishing today up near Lassen Park, at Hat Creek.  It's a pretty big trout fishing creek, appearntly people from all over come to fish there.  That's normally where we go fishing, though not in this specific spot, but that's ok, we normally try a nice place every time we go.  We haven't been for awhile, so it was fun.  My dad and I fish ( Read more... )

My friend Claire invited me to go with her and her mom to Trinidad, not the country, but the coastal town in the northstate.  They're renting a house for a few days, so it'll be fun.  CA beaches are different from east coast...most people don't go there to swim.  The weather is cool and the water is freezing, but it's the coast and it's beautiful ( Read more... )
