LJ refuses to load on this crappy internet connection at home. Grrrrr. I hate the internet speed at my house, it's dreadfully slow.

Figured I'd post something at least about my summer as it's already mostly over. I spent another summer at my Kids Kamp, and it was awesome. I love those kids so much! I've been doing it for 3 years, and it's one of the best experiences I've ever had. I love kids, and basically what we do at camp is just play and do activities to help improve motor skills and promote social interaction. It's so much fun, and I'm going to miss it so damn much. I've watched these kids grow over the past few years, and it breaks my heart that I won't get to see any of them again.

In other news, we went to Prague and it was fun. Decent food if you love meat, gravy, and dumplings, and, of course, more gravy. The beer was delicious and the food did go well with the mass amounts of beer my father and I drank. We went and did all of the touristy things- saw the castle, the churches, the main square, etc. I enjoyed it. I would never be able to stomach living there, there were so many tourists!! I couldn't even comprehend how many people mulled about the main square. Too many. Fortunately for us, most of the museum signs were also in English, so we weren't completely confused when we went to the exhibits. My Czech vocabulary only covered bathroom, hello, goodbye, please, thanks, and dumplings. Crucial words all around.

Also, I went to go see Paul McCartney with the fam, and it was a great show. I was pretty impressed. He still has a good voice, which was shocking, and his band was good. Minus one very terrifying man on guitar, he was amazingly ugly and made disturbing faces. But Paul sang a lot of good songs, mostly Beatles, and it was great. He also told great stories, which were very entertaining. I learned that George Harrison really loved ukelele and had a big collection and he went to ukelele groups and played there. And Paul learned a song for George on the ukalale and played it at the concert. I love stories like that, I ate them all up.

The sad part about the concert was that it was raining a bit at the beginning, but we had ponchos. Ponchos are so much harder to put on than I imagined, we had cheap plastic ones and all they did was get stuck to your skin.  It was intense.

Well I think that's about it. Summer has actually been pretty boring, but those are the highlights. I'm moving back to school soon, thank goodness. My lease for my apartment starts pretty late, but since my boyfriend is moving to town, I'm staying with him for a bit until my lease starts.
