All out of sticks.. doctorbeast January 21 2010, 07:03:57 UTC
Hank's mind was still abuzz from the intellectual sparring earlier in the day after he had posted his thoughts on the nature of the reality into which they had been thrust. It was most energizing, and he was still trying to assimilate the new data that he had received into this evolving model that was taking shape in his head ( ... )

Lost in her own thoughts as she was, Rachel had almost missed the approach of their resident furry blue genius. She felt a pang when she sensed him, she'd meant to seek him out, welcome him in person, but with everything... she'd just forgotten to. But there was no time like the present, even if this version didn't know her as well yet as the one back home, he was still Hank and that made him practically family.

She turned in her seat and smiled, "Hey, Dr. McCoy, late night?"

Hank smiled broadly as he approached the her.

"I usually don't need many hours of sleep, but tonight i have research to accomplish." he said, indicating the DVD in his furred hand.

"But what about you? What has you so engrossed that you would forgo the necessity of sleep?"

She chuckled at the dvd in his hand, knowing she hadn't been the only one to suggest the parallel earlier in the day. "Nice research, you'll like it."

She marked the page she was on (and truth be told had been on for the better part of ten minutes), and lied. "My body still thinks it's in Thailand, so my sleeping's all kinds of crazy right now."

Several hours ago, Maggie had come back to the library, considering Scott's very exciting job offer, and inevitably she had found a book that captured her fancy, she crawled into the most comfortable space she could find, and began reading...

That faint sound of deep breathing, the occasional light snore? That's Maggie, who has somehow managed to fit her six foot form underneath one of the library tables, curled up, face planted into a book on mutant genetics.

Rachel had decided to move to another seat, perhaps to make it harder to stumble across her, perhaps just to change the view, but as she sat down again, she heard the soft sounds of... snoring?

Curious, she opened her mind to locate the person that was hidden nearby and once found she crossed the room to check on them. Underneath the table was someone who was either too tired to stay up reading anymore, or who found dry texts on genetics as boring as she did. Either way, she reached under the table to gently shake the woman awake - sleeping under a table was probably not the best way to spend a night.

Maggie shifted slightly. "I'll get your coffee, Nenene," she muttered, eyes slowly fluttering open. She focused on Rachel. "Oh."

She had figured out Rachel was not her former housemate, but her mind hadn't quite kicked completely into gear. "Do you need coffee?"

"Um, no. I'm good."

Obviously, someone wasn't quite awake yet.

"I'm Rachel, do you know where you are?"
