[after leaving Glinda's apartment, Elphaba takes a walk down the street, and finally manages to buy something that should be suitable for dinner-as long as she hasn't cooked it herself, she doubts Glinda will be that bothered by it. She carries two large dishes of hot pasta, mixed with a tomato sauce and a handful of vegetables, back to her apartment, and sets them out on the table]
[she fills two glasses with water. Only half way up, mind, and places them on the very centre of the table, so that there's no chance of them being knocked over. That done, she finds herself oddly impatient, waiting for Glinda's arrival. She wonders if she's managed to get lost, and whether she go looking for her, or not]
