City pigeons are so clever. How they managed to find spare baskets and boxes around was beyond Giselle - she being not nearly as clever about finding things in the City on her own (well, aside from Shockwave's curtains). She was very lucky to have so many wonderful friends - human or otherwise - to help her out in a pinch! And it certainly was a pinch to her; there was still far too much delicious food laying around than anyone could hope to eat without a stomachache in the near future...
Strawberry-everything. Strawberry pie, strawberry tarts, strawberry fritters, strawberry cupcakes, little plastic cups of strawberries and melted chocolate...The vendor at the open-air market who sold those crates of strawberries to her was sure to flag her down in a hurry next time she passed by. She was very easy to convince.
The spirit of the festivities that rang across the City the night previous had her doubly energized, eager to prolong the atmosphere as much as she could. And it seemed to work! People were more than happy to approach, ask what was going on, and grab a slice of pie or two, and Giselle was more than happy to oblige.
And so it went throughout the course of the day until all the baskets and boxes were barren, save for the crumbs pigeons happily picked at once enough people had left.
