I don't know what happened to this city, but I think it's better I wasn't here for whatever it was. Caused enough damage - if I didn't know better, I'd say Geth.

2010, really...when I said "two centuries" I wasn't really aiming to be right. At least this Earth isn't as much of a landfill as it is in my time. Well, or so I've heard.
..."Sort of".

Sounds interesting. You'll have to tell me the story sometime -- if it isn't too traumatic, of course. God knows I have some stories I'd rather not tell.
[Pause.]
I never introduced myself - must've slipped my mind. Garrus Vakarian.

Could be worse. I could have ended up in the eighteenth century, and from what I've read, humans weren't all too receptive to things they didn't understand.

No, people generally weren't. So by saying 'humans', does this mean you're not human yourself?
Reply
...Not quite.

Shepard's not here, turian.

It figures. I end up in a strange and possibly dangerous place with no backup and Shepard isn't even the one leading me here.
[AWKWARD PAUSE what does he even say other than 'oh hey look it's a krogan'. The fact that he seems hated for no reason at all doesn't help, but chalk that up to krogan-ness.]
Wasn't expecting a krogan.

Was hoping not to see you again after we shoved the Collectors' base up Cerberus's ass and blew it up. Heh heh.

...I don't recall starting a fight with Collectors. Or meeting you. I'm pretty sure I would remember meeting you. Not to mention getting involved with Cerberus, and...when did all of this happen?

Ah, someone else who comes from a dimension where there is quite a bit of space travel, good. Hello and welcome to the City for what that's worth. It's Earth, the year is 2010, and you've been brought here by a machine known as the 'Porter to replace the police force that suddenly disappeared over a year ago. You don't have to join the police, of course, as there really isn't any enforcing of that directive and the 'Porter does sometimes bring in less than savory types which are usually more of a problem than the natives.

Thank you for the welcome. Now...what can you tell me about these "less than savory types"? You've got me curious.

I'm not involved with the police force actually and they could explain about some of that better than I could but the 'Porter does bring in some who are called "supervillains" in their own worlds.
And be glad that you just missed a zombie invasion that was orchestrated by two people known as the Lich King and Kel'thuzad according to my research.

I'll have to get in contact with the police, then. I'd rather know the details on who it is I'm supposed to be keeping an eye out for than find it all out myself.
[Pause, while mentally marking down Lich King and Kel'thuzad as people to find out more about.]
Zombies.

I'm getting a little tired of being called "mutant", though; my genes are perfect for a turian male.
