Back in the Coffin Again!

We landed in San Diego last night around 9:30pm but didn't arrive at our hotel until after 11, thanks to a mixup at the car rental depot and then our desire to stop by a grocery store to stock up on snacks and drinks for the next few days we're here.
I mentioned last night that we conceived this trip to San Diego much in the same vein as a similar trip we took January last year. In fact it's so similar that we're staying at the same hotel out in the suburb of El Cajón, aka The Coffin. It's a nice, comfortable hotel with a hot tub open late. It's on the eastern edge of town, closer to various places we'd like to go hiking. And, finally, I was able to get it at a reasonable price using points.
Alas, no dip in the hot tub last night. We got in just after 11. And then I couldn't settle down to sleep until just after 1. (Sadly typical when traveling.) Well, it's vacation so I didn't bust my hump trying to get up early this morning. I silenced my 8am alarm without regret and slept in first 'til 9, then 10. We'll still have enough time for hiking today.
