He said Thursday that public opinion at the time favoured ratification “in the abstract”
The situation, as I see it, was that Canadians wanted some action on climate change. Instead of examining the issue, explaining it to Canadians and coming up with a plan, the government signed up the country to commitments that it never intended to honour, and it did so for cynical political reasons. I wonder where Stephane Dion was when this was happening?
