Wow! I just noticed that I've had this livejournal for 10 years as of this month.
When I first started it, I was freshly graduated from high school, without any real plans in life, and newly moved into the city. At around that time I was paying my rent with an inheritance from a great-aunt who had passed away, and working in a local grocery store for a few weeks for pocket money before being fired for not being "Go-To" enough.
I believe my journal used to have a lot of sarcastic, short messages of the kind teenagers probably post as twitter or facebook updates today, plus a lot more description of day-to-day stuff. Today I seem to use it more to update friends on long-term things I've been up to, or to put to "paper" long rants or stories that wouldn't fit as well on facebook. (I never got into facebook "notes"--it seems like too much of an event compared to updating livejournal.)
Here's to 10 years, laddies!
