Did not have to camp tonight. Thank god. it was super stormy all afternoon, which would have sucked, and it is supposed to be in teh low 30s tonight. Sadly, it means i have to be up at 6 AM tomorrow in order to get to the dig site tomorrow by 8. Tomorrow night it is supposed to be even colder, supposedly getting down to 27 degrees. Also, regarding my camping trip, forget the Leave No Trace method. Oh no, we needed fire wood, we chopped down a tree (or in some cases, pushed over a tree). There was a tree near our pit at the dig site? Let's chop it down! Can't walk through an area really easily? Let's chop down some trees! Very different attitude than my conservation

I found a place in teh middle of the city that has BUFFALO. Just outside of Houston, in the city of Pasadena (and yes, it is a city, bigger than but similar in feel to, SB) there is the Armand Bayou Nature Center.
