adipocere: post-mortem waxy fat; "mortuary fat"
(the naturally occurring greyishwhite or yellow waxy substance that forms from the fat of certain parts of dead bodies, esp. if buried in wet places...via french, first employed in the late 1700s, from latin adipis, "fat", and cera, "wax")

a challenge: use that in casual conversation. metaphorical use entirely permitted.
