Led Zeppelin reunion

Sep 14, 2007 22:42

Led Zeppelin will reunite for a show at the O2 Arena in London on 26 November 2007. There are 20000 tickets available, for the price of £125 per ticket (that's $250), and you can only get tickets by entering a lottery. The crazy thing is, over 25 million people have already entered for this lottery! That must be the largest demand for concert tickets ever! It's understandable though, as Led Zeppelin have sold over 300 million albums worldwide, and they disbanded on December 4, 1980, and have done only a couple of appearances after that.

Here's info on the 2007 reunion.

I'm still baffled by the 25 million people trying to get tickets to a single concert. I can only imagine the prices these tickets will go at eBay... Hell, I think I'll apply for tickets for myself and Mike, although the odds at winning are pretty slim...

P.S. A fuse blew at home while I was writing this, switching off all electricity in our bedroom and living room. Thank goodness for livejournal's autosave!
