New Year, a few changes

There's still no snow in southern Finland. When I left for work this morning, it felt like October... The good thing is that it's not very cold, about 4-6° Celsius (about 40° Fahrenheit), but it doesn't feel like winter because there's no snow. I bet all the kids hate this winter! I just wait for spring.

On New Years Eve I was with Mike, just the two of us. We watched Batman Begins in the afternoon. It was okay, the best Batman film so far. At midnight we went out to watch the fireworks, but that wasn't too great as people were shooting them in the crowd, and one swooshed right past my head.

Yesterday we watched the two hour pilot of Twin Peaks. I've seen the series once before, but I don't remember anything from it, so don't tell me who killed Laura Palmer! I love the athmosphere in Twin Peaks, it's eerie. I need to watch more of David Lynch movies, I've only seen Lost Highway, and I loved it. I really need to watch Mulholland Dr.. When we were in L.A., we drove through Mulholland Drive (spectacular view!) and I still haven't seen the movie!

There are a few changes I'm trying to make in my LJ-writing habit. First, I'll try to list the books I've read each month. I posted some book reviews last year, but not nearly all.

I'm also going to start writing some backdated entries. I think I'll post them as regular entries at first, and then change the date after a week or so. Backdated entries don't show up on people's friends pages, so that's why I'll write them as normal entries first. The reason for the backdated entries is that there are some things I never had the time to write about when they happended, and now I feel that I want to write about them anyway, before I forget even more.
