New Year, a few changes

Jan 02, 2007 12:19

There's still no snow in southern Finland. When I left for work this morning, it felt like October... The good thing is that it's not very cold, about 4-6° Celsius (about 40° Fahrenheit), but it doesn't feel like winter because there's no snow. I bet all the kids hate this winter! I just wait for spring ( Read more... )

The reason for the backdated entries is that there are some things I never had the time to write about when they happended, and now I feel that I want to write about them anyway, before I forget even more.

That keeps happening to me too, although so far I haven't bothered to actually write any backdated entries...

I have high hopes for it, and if it's anything like Twin Peaks or Lost Highway, I'll definitely like it. Is there anything else by David Lynch that you'd recommend? I looked at his films at imdb, but many of them I had never heard of.

It has similarity to both I think, Lynch always has specific style. It's very close to Lost Highway in the atmosphere I think, but better.

Blue Velvet & Eraserhead are both good, although BV is not so great in my opinion. Eraserhead is my personal favourite of his films besides MD, but it's very, very strange. :P I haven't seen "Wild At Heart", but I have a feeling you might like that also. A new film from Lynch "Inland Empire" is definitely worth checking out.

I just don't know what to expect with the weather. It is supposed to be summer, and I go to work in a sheepskin jacket for the cold. So much for 40oC of last year. Hmmmm You got my summer I think!

I just read in the paper today that this winter has been between 6° to 8° warmer than the average for the last 30 years. They also wrote that unless the weather changes permanently, a winter this warm happens only a couple of times in a thousand years. I guess we got your summer then, and the whole planet has got freaky weather. :)

P.S. I took you off the Got Fangs? ring.
