Cards, Audrey's bday, Vegas
So cards finally got done and dropped into the mail. Sofie is still a beautiful Puff after her grooming trip but she always looks nice. We discovered the groomer even put a bow at the base of her tail that you can only see when it is uncurled. Cute! I don't think Audrey was impressed with me leaving with Sofie and having to stay home alone, she put a couple good little chew marks on the door frame! I have never seen her throw a tantrum like that before and she hasn't chewed since she was a pup.
Wednesday evening we made the short trip into Baltimore to join a couple friends for dinner. It was a really nice time. Other than that we've been sticking close to home with the colder weather. I have a cough that doesn't need to get worse. Must pick up Robitussin.
Yesterday was Audrey's 3rd birthday so I took her to Petsmart to pick out a toy and wag at people. We were at the store for a while as I just followed her around and let her explore and have fun. She visited the doggy day care window and the kitty adoptions. Audrey spent most of her special day curled up under a blanket near whoever was sitting still. She's next to me right now. Her necklace didn't arrive yesterday but I have my hopes that it will be here in time to give it to her for Christmas. It has been 2 and a half months and I'm getting impatient to have the right necklace here.
We did get some really bad news on Thursday. They turned down Chris' leave request for Vegas. Too bad we already have flights paid for and our hotel. What really gets me is that this would have been our first real trip together that didn't involve visiting family. Aside from B&B stays and our honeymoon we have never had a vacation. And with the baby on the way it doesn't look like we'll have one just the 2 of us for years and years. He's going to talk to them again but it is pretty pointless. I'm so angry with it all I don't even want to get further into it.
Off to make a baby post. I'll try to keep them a bit separate.
