Showers, Bath Time, Cards
I tell ya I have some amazing friends! Because of geographical issues there will be no surprise baby showers for me. My mom is planning one that will be held in a restaurant near my family. We made out the guest list and chose a date - Saturday, April 18 - for a lunch time shower. I'm really looking forward to it and it is so exciting planning it. Actually, my part of the planning is over as I just had to give her a date that I'd be able to make it to Canada and a list of names.
Now State-side my friends have been chattering away since the news broke of my pregnancy. Immediately Lisa said she wanted to plan a shower for me and Candace and Misti were quickly on board. They are such super ladies that they will be coming to me and are currently searching for flights here. We've planned it for the first weekend in May. The weather here should be great. I'll be 8 months pregnant and big as a house! I sent them a list of friends to invite as well as family. Hopefully my in-laws from Texas will be able to make it since they weren't able to attend my bridal one (or throw one for that matter).
It seems like we're starting the planning early but I've already been asked by so many people about a gift registry, showers, etc. Plus with travel and busy schedules the word needs to get out early.
Anyway, Puff went to the groomers today and she's back, looking gorgeous, and sleeeeeping. Bath time tires her out. Audrey will go in next week. I could do her myself but my back might end up injured again and she loves the attention and travel of going to the groomers. I love my groomer here by the way. I have never seen someone be so thorough and patient with Sofie's feet.
Ok, back to Christmas cards. I'm actually making some progress! Oh speaking of cards, I never understood why people would post in their LJ "If you want a card send me your address" Personally I will send you a card if you are close to me, and I would hope if someone thought enough about me to send a card I wouldn't have to leave a comment. Just my thoughts.
