So, at the previous weekend's New York Comic-Con, it was announced to my great dismay that Marvel's two flagship Cosmic titles, Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy, would not be coming back from their present event-based hiatus. I bring this up because the announcement came just I was realizing I needed to make a change in my line-up, and as far as final nails in the coffin go it seemed pretty fitting.
Which is why I'm dropping Rocket Raccoon and going back to my old stand-by 3 character stable. Camp, thanks for letting me play--however briefly--a gun-toting space raccoon on the Internet. A drop post will be going up in his journal for anyone who wants to see him off.
To make this a proper send off, I'm gonna share some preview art from what's shaping up to be Rocket's Last Hurrah--a one-shot book that features Rocket facing off against an evil clown (in an office supply store) armed with only a staple gun and a mop. Because Rocket is just that badass.
