"Those terms are not acceptable." Gwen shook her head. "It's far too one-sided."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "And the current situation is not?"

"I'm finding no fault with the current situation," she informed him. "You're the one who desires a change, so you'll need to make a better offer than that in order to convince me."

Evenly, he replied, "I've already pointed out the advantages to you, which are many. More, I think, than you can currently anticipate."

Gwen had to admit to herself that his experience with negotiations was evident in his demeanor, especially seeing as he was at a disadvantage, and she was impressed. However, she absolutely could not permit him to be aware of that.

"I'm quite happy with the advantages I 'currently anticipate,' thank you."

"Guinevere." The blue gaze he leveled on her never failed to turn her insides to jelly, and she was fairly certain he knew the effect it had on her. Still, she did her best to keep her reaction off her face.

"Yes, Arthur?" she asked sweetly.

"Switch places with me."

"No, Arthur."

"Guinevere."

She wasn't entirely sure she managed to hide her reaction that time, but attempted to cover it up with a yawn. "You're getting repetitive."

He sighed. "Fine. At least untie me, then."

"You agreed to this," she reminded him, leaning over to tap him lightly on the nose, her breasts grazing his chest.

"I know. I just didn't realize I'd want to touch you so much," he grumbled, tugging slightly on the scarves binding his wrists to the bedposts.

"That is a conundrum," she teased, leaning down a bit more to run a tongue over his nipple.

He sucked in a breath. "Switch places with me, and I'll buy you that imported wine you like."

"Hmm." As her mouth was on his stomach, the thoughtful sound reverberated through his skin and set his nerve endings on edge. "That's tempting, but still not good enough." He jerked as her tongue swirled around his belly button.

"And your favorite perfume." The last syllable drifted off as her lips brushed the tip of his shaft.

Gwen chose that moment to sit up and regard him seriously. "Do you truly want me to set you loose? I will if you'd like; it's no good if you're not enjoying thi-"

"It's fine," he said quickly, his voice a little strained.

"Are you sure?"

"Certain."

The teasing light came back into her eyes as she tilted her head consideringly. "I would like a bottle of that wine. And I'm nearly out of perfume…"

"Guinevere."

"Yes, Arthur?"

"I concede. You win. Do as you will, and I shall see to it that you never want for the wine or the perfume."

She smiled in satisfaction. "A wise decision, my lord."

As she began to lean back over, he added, "I ask only one concession."

Her mouth mere centimeters from where she'd left off, she glanced over at him. "And that is…?"

Vaguely wondering why he didn't just shut the hell up already, he said, "We switch places later."

"I can agree to those terms," she murmured.

Arthur had never been pleased about losing a negotiation before. When he could form a coherent thought again, he reflected that there was a first time for everything.
