Ruthless
Gwen glanced at Arthur then back at the dirty dishes.
“Arthur.” Gwen walked over to where he was sitting. She tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.
“What is it, Guinevere?” Arthur frowned as the monster killed him in the video game he had been playing.
“If you do the dishes, I will make your favorite dinner.” Gwen smiled at him.
Arthur looked at the dishes. “Hmm. That's at least three dinners.”
Gwen scowled. She wasn't expecting him to negotiate with her. She took a breath and thought for a moment.
“One dinner and I won't make you sleep on the sofa for the next two nights.”
Arthur blinked in surprise. “Guinevere!”
“Take it or leave it.” Gwen shrugged.
“You’re ruthless.” Arthur got up to do the dishes.
Gwen laughed.
