Dear friends - after the latest LiveJournalGate I am thinking of setting up a Dreamwidth account

Charles Stross's excellent blog sets out the reaons better than I can!

Anyway, I'm not planning on deleting LJ any time soon, but will probably copy things over to Dreamwidth when I've worked out how to do it.

It's been a ridiculously long time until I have posted anything to my LJ - for one main reason, which is that for the last 4 months I have been living without a fandom computer.
