(no subject)
Quick story--
I lose bookmarks all. the. time. I stick them in whatever book I'm reading and then return that book to my bookshelf and then lose all my bookmarks and can't find any of them, until I randomly pick up that book again and lo and behold, it's Beauty and the Beast/frogs/Jacob Black/Hawaii/Peeta Mellark.
I own three translations of The Iliad. I don't know why, since I only ever read or reference the Robert Fitzgerald translation (by the way, if you need an excellent book to read, that's the one). I'm writing something where I'm comparing two of the translations, so I had to open the Robert Fagles translation, and in so doing I found my Beauty and the Beast bookmark. I have not touched that book in over a decade, which means I haven't seen this bookmark in just as long.
