I close on  my house next friday at 4.  though I may not take possesion for a few more days after that to allow the family time to move out.  The mom has been home alone with the 2 kids (1 of which is under 2) so hasn'thad much time to get stuff together

CONGRATS!!! You make me feel old and unaccomplished though, but thats because there is absolutely no hope for me to buy a house in this state. I cant wait to see it!

that is a deffinate bonus of living in utah. i'm paying 161,000 and getting a 3 bedroom 2 bath house built in 2004 thats on .25 acre lot. and its even in a nice neighbor hood. But if I was still working in cali, even making what i make now, i could maybe finally afford to move out of my parents house.

Pssh my mother has no money whatsoever, she works for the state!

And I don't make 1/3 of what callie makes right now either. I wish I could buy in this market, but I still just work retail.
