baby steps
Today was my first visit with a district manager as store manager. She is currently our acting DM while Nancy is out with apparently a very severe illness. So anyway, she thought the store was absolutely beautiful(and it is). She gave me some great ideas about out to make my stock room more efficient. It's not a mess now, we're just over loaded with clothing. I mean A LOT of clothes. I've been given permission to pack away the old lines to save for our semi annual sale. I've also been given permission to hire TWO stock people!! TWO!!! Yeah!!!! So, my first evaluation after one week on the job was a very possitive one.
p.s. Our acting DM is the DM for all the Virginia stores. That seed has been planted and she'll let me know as soon as an opportunity becomes available and also said that she'd love to have me as a manager in her district. GREAT!
