An acquaintance of mine has a house that backs up against a nature preserve. He lives there for the sake of family rather than out of an affinity for wildlife. These past few years, he's been out of town, and I wonder if I should have left a note on his door to warn him. Cal will gleefully oblige should I ask him to perform the duty.
WARNING
We left a demon chicken in your backyard. Use a fire extinguisher if it moves into your house. No, we didn't leave you one. Nik's cheap.
- Cal
P.S. Where the hell have you been?
The aitvaras is, of course, not a demon. It is simply a supernatural creature endowed with the same intellect possessed by "normal" animals. Aitvaras are part rooster, part snake, and roughly the size of a mature boa constrictor. They have limited flight capabilities, so it is unsurprising that the majority of their responses to danger are the same as a domestic flightless bird's. Unfortunately, they can also breathe fire. It is imperative that any individual hired to deal with one secure a nonrefundable deposit first.
[ooc: Citizenship Day = another lecture. Cal and Nik got pwned by a monster chicken. It's canon. I don't know if he would have told his canonmates about this or not, or if they'd have found out through the grapevine, so that's up to your discretion.
Again, I'm sorry for being slow/not around.]
