I went to the doctor today to talk about my complete lack of progress in hip and back pain and to discuss my immediate need for anti-depressants. Long story short, they put me on Abilify for the depression, and I'm being set up for an MRI of my brain as well as an appointment with a pain management specialist in order to supposedly find out what's going on with my hip and leg pain. Ten bucks says they don't find anything and it'll all end with them deciding it's all in my head (or "just fibro" or "just depression") and shipping me off to a mental institution.
In other cheery news, I went to the stables afterward only to find this:
The good news is that it's not deep enough to require stitches and he had his tetanus shot a few weeks ago. I cleaned it and put some medicine on it, but it freaked me right the fuck out. I think there may be some barbed wire somewhere out in the back pasture, and will be rather pissed if that's the case. Barbed wire is for cows, not horses, dammit. Christ.
Anyway, Sharif's going to be fine, but I really hate seeing him in any kind of pain.
