Five Things: Five times Arisia convinced a male GL that wearing a dress was a good idea

Five times Arisia convinced a male GL that wearing a dress was a good idea:

1. "Daddy, you should wear this one! It's so pretty!" Arisia looked up at her father excitedly.

Fentara eyed it. It was a style mostly worn by women, certainly, but his daughter *did* have a good eye for color and cut.

She looked up at her, her eyes excited and adoring. Plus, he reasoned: it would make her happy. He was gone so often on Corps business that it was hard to refuse his daughter anything when he was at home.

2. When the Guardians asked Kilowog to go give special training to the new, young, Green Lantern of Sector 2815, Arisia offered an exchange of knowledge: Kilowog would train her to be a GL, and she would show *him* some of the skills she used as the artist and fashion designer Cynella.

Kilowog was doubtful as to how *useful* these skills would be to a Bolovax like him, but Arisia was persistent, and he had to admit, a swap was a reasonable and simple thing.

The gowns she showed him weren't very practical for doing hands-on work, or flying through space, but he had to admit, they *were* beautiful.

3. She'd nearly sold Ch'p on a redesign of his GL costume that included a skirt; but Salakk was grumpier than usual about it, so he went for the overalls instead.

4. Hal was resistant at first--and for some time after that--but with enough tales about the traditional warrior cultures on Graxos IV, and the clothes that went with it, plus some quite expert design and tailoring work (if she did say so herself!) he came around.

None of the pictures or reenacters had looked *half* as good as Hal did.

After she'd taken it off of him, he was *much* less reluctant to put it on again--if only in private.

5. That holding a Drag Ball at Warrior's would be an excellent way to have fun, make money, and get publicity was Arisia's idea in the first place--she'd been keeping a close eye on Earth fashion and culture since she'd first moved there.

She was quite happy to accept the help of the rest of the staff in getting Guy to go for it and put on a dress himself: even the cowboys seemed to find it a hoot, which made it a little hard for Guy to play the masculinity card. (Not that he didn't *try*.)

Vuldarian powers sure were helpful in getting a dress that fit.
